Number Randomly
This action takes a series of files and sets their names with random numbers in them, depending on the fields’ values and the number of files.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Apply to | Section of the filename to apply the changes to (Name Only, Name & Extension, Extension Only). |
| Digits | The number of digits that preceeds the random numbers. |
| Insert text | This text will be inserted into the filename, depending on the value. |
| Format | The order in which the three filename components will be renamed to. |
The Format field has the following components:
| Format | Description |
|---|---|
| Original | The original filename. Whether the extension is included or exclusive depends on the Apply to value. |
| Text | The text entered in the Insert text field. |
| Number | The number generated by the action. |
